Missional Leadership Board (MLB)
KEN AUGUSTINE
Ken Augustine is a husband, father, grandfather, traveler, retired furniture store owner, pilot, hobby farmer and volunteer. "While this describes me, it doesn’t tell you much about why I’m on the Leadership Board of our church body. I serve in that role because of my passion to follow Jesus; sometimes I do that successfully, sometimes not! My biblical role model (after Jesus) is Caleb. I want to be a person who lives by faith, walks with God, is committed to community, is devoted to Christ’s mission and is Spirit-filled and directed. I hope that every attendee in our church body would feel the freedom to engage me in any decision or direction we take as a leadership board."
JON BARK
Jon has served on the board for a number of years. He has a heart for missions and has partnered with our missions team in guiding our outreach efforts locally and globally. Jon has been on several trips to Kazakhstan in support of our partnerships with churches in that country. God has blessed Jon and his wife, Colleen, with two (older) sons, Jake and Jarod.
MARK CHIDISTER - Chairman
My wife Peggy and I have been part of the Ames E Free community since the early 1980's. We are very thankful for the way God has used the many ministries of this church in our lives and those of our children. I have a passion for seeing believers mature in their relationship with God and for God's church to grow in unity and effectiveness. My hope for our church and my purpose as a leader is best summarized in Ephesians 4: 1-16. I welcome your input and encourage you to pray for the many leaders in this church.
GP FOOTE - Vice-Chairman
"I am originally from Atlanta but relocated to the Midwest as a ministry assignment. Now, I wouldn't want to live anyplace else. Ames and this church have been a great place to raise a family. I've been married to Nancy have four married children and 8 grandchildren. Nancy and I work with Campus Crusade for Christ and specialize in ministry with international students at ISU through Bridges International."
"I have a passion for getting students and adults involved in missions projects to let God do his work in and through their lives to give them a broader world vision. Besides Elder leadership, I have also been involved with children's ministry, Adult Fellowships and various committees in the church."
KEVIN GEIS
Kevin and his wife Kathy have three children Zane, Hannah and Emma. They have attended First Evangelical Free Church since moving to Ames years ago. Their family has been involved with the Mission Team, Deaconate, Prison Ministry, Puppet Team, Promise Land, Middle and High School Ministry.
Kevin says FEFC has assisted the Geis family in growing closer to their savior Jesus Christ and in motivating them to become more mission-minded as a family and individually. His desire is that those who enter the doors of FEFC find it to be a place where they can deepen their walk with God and intensify their desire to share Him with the world. Feel free to contact Kevin and visit with him about First Evangelical Free Church.
NORM LUIKEN
"Born as a child of the King in early life, it’s difficult to remember living without Jesus. Forever blest being born in a Christian nation, free to pursue seven (7) careers, 50+ years with my bride, Jan, having 4 loving children, 15 wonderful grandchildren, and great church experiences including nearly 30 years at FEFC. Missions strongly influences life as we have daily connection with seven Asian countries through the Asian School of Evangelism. Active in Adult Fellowships, small group and the MLB gives exposure to many wonderful relationships at First E Free C. I trust each attendee will feel free to honor me with input about our church.
BRAD MOECKLY
Brad is married to Joyce and they have four daughters, Maria, Mandy, Joanna and Jackie. Brad farms in the Elkhart area, raising corn, soybeans, and hogs. He says, "I have been richly blessed by this church body, by my growth in Christ and consider it a deep honor to represent this church as we move ahead to proclaim God and His kingdom. I look forward to hearing comments from attenders at E Free to help strengthen and preserve our Christian values."
PAT RUNDALL
Pat is originally from Marshalltown where he met his wife, Lynne. Pat works for PowerFilm in Ames. The Rundalls have a daughter, Sarah, and are active in small groups and the Parents of Young Families adult fellowship. In addition to the Missional Leadership Board, Pat serves in the Park and Shuttle Ministry.
