Welcome To First Evangelical Free Church of Ames

Financial Peace University Starts February 9

Financial Peace University is the popular Dave Ramsey course that deals in the wise handling of money - all from a very practical and “real world” standpoint (and it's actually fun!). If you’re in debt, have questions about investing, or would just like some guidance in what the Bible teaches about money, this is the course for you!

The principles taught are excellent for both personal finance and business. In addition, the average attendees have paid off over $5,300 in debt and saved $2,700 during this 91-day program! The course lessons are taught on video by Dave Ramsey. FPU has been offered at several churches in our area - it's an extension of the Dave Ramsey Show (locally on KASI).

Topics covered:
1) Learning how to budget
2) Learning how to eliminate personal debt
3) Learning how to clean up old/bad debts and bad credit history
4) Learning how to save and invest
5) Learning how to communicate with your spouse about money
6) Learning what types of insurance you do and don't need
7) Learning what the Bible really says about giving

Costs:
You may attend the first night for free – no obligation. If after the first night, you wish to continue – there is still no cost, but you will need to purchase a kit. Materials can be purchased directly from the church for $99 the night of the first class. ($99 is a discounted rate that is offered to churches – these kits are currently available at daveramsey.com for $129).  Past FPU graduates with their own course materials are welcome to attend at no charge - just sign up to attend the course and you're ready to go!
