Missions
In Mark 16:15, Jesus said, “Go into all the WORLD and proclaim the good news to all creation.”
Sharing the love of Christ with a world in great need—this is central to the mission of First Free. The task is overwhelming, but we are not called to do it all. We are to join hands with believers around the world who take Jesus’ words seriously. First Free currently supports full-time missionaries in many parts of the world and is sending out a growing number of short-term teams each year.
A current focus is Kazakhstan. We have a partnership with two churches - one in the largest city of Almaty and the other in the northern city of Ridder. We also support a training center that seeks to equip Kazakh pastors to lead their churches. Over the years a number of short-term mission teams have traveled to Kazakhstan to support and encourage believers.
We seek to establish close working relationships with our missionaries and partner with them in the task of reaching others with the life transforming message of Jesus - locally, regionally, and globally.
We also have a desire to involve as many First Free attendees as possible in short-term missions trips, so that we can all grow in our understanding of different cultures and our love and concern for those who do not know Christ, in all parts of the world.
